I've been to a few local shows to see ska and punk bands. I wanted to go to Warped Tour last year to see Bad Religion, Gallows and some others, but I got really sick before the show near me.
Like redsfan, a lot of local ska. Mustardplug, Less Than Jake, Bomb the music industry!
i went to Ska Fest last year and saw A LOT of awesome ska bands. Too many to name...

The only band I liked on Warped last year was Bad Religion, I opted not to go tho. I won't pass it up again.

As you can see I Love music
wow awsome man you must have alot of connections since your a dj
I been to a few "classic" shows, well they are to you guys as many of you weren't even born yet.
Led Zeppelin 1974 - took the train down the city (NYC) at 15 years old and skipped school as well. I was in a little trouble when I wandered back upstate.
Foreigner and Robin Trower at SPAC in 1974 or 5 (I can't remember actually)
The Sex Pistols in 1977 in a huge club in NYC (can't remember the name)
KISS (Before they were huge) in 1973 at the Albany Palace Theater which is now the Pepsi Arena. They had the face paint though it wasn't as crazy as later on and they all wore black pants and turtlenecks and they rocked!
Judas Priest at the same venue later that year.
Allman Brothers, Marshal Tucker Band and Molly Hatchet at SPAC around 1973
Robin Trower again in California (I actually saw Trower a total of 4 times in huge arenas and a good sized club in Germany)....amazing guitarist!
The Police around 1978 in California as my cousin was a roadie for them and started the tour with them (which went to Japan and the Asian countries)...I was very very jealous!!! At least he got me back stage passes and I got to meet Copland and Sting afterwards...that was pretty cool but I still was jealous!
U2 at the Living Room in Providence RI (which was a good sized nightclub) when they first started out. My buddy and I got there early and got in (because my friend was the bouncer) to watch sound check which I still remember to this day!
The surprising thing was NOBODY even knew who these guys were and we had to really convince people we knew to go and see them...pretty amazing when you see them now.
I saw the 5678's in Japan while I was on business trip a few years back (the all girls band in Kill Bill 1). They were as good in person as they were in the movie!
That was just a few special ones that stand out for me!
